Riverton - Aparima, Riverton Rocks
A fisher port and a popular holiday destination with safe beaches.
Riverton Rocks has nice Cafes, Restaurants and is great for swimming and a pic-nic.
There are several lookout walks and a coastal loop track at the Mores Scenic Rserve.
Monkey Island - Te Puka a Takitimu
A short walk leads to a viewpoint of the anchor stone of the legendary Takitimu canoewhich was wrecked in Te Waewae Bay. Access to the islet depends on the tide but you still got the view on high tide of course.
Walk across the beach and up the steps to the viewing platform.
