Ninety Mile Beach - Cape Reinga

The way up to the almost northern most point of mainland New Zealand provides some spectacular views of the coastline and far away if you are here on a clear day.

Ninety Mile Beach

If you plan to drive the beach on your own you should be very careful. The sand isn't that easy to drive and the high tide comes in very fast. Each year the sea takes his tribute so make sure that it's not your car this time!

Ahipara

This village marks the beginning of 90 Mile Beach. In fact there are just 90 kilometres of sand - around 50 miles but who cares?

Te Paki

Better known for surfing the sand dunes than the waves.
